The cast of “Pretty Little Liars” appeared on “GMA” on Tuesday, just hours before the Freeform show’s final premiere. Watch below!
Lucy Hale, Troian Bellisario, Shay Mitchell, Ashley Benson and Sasha Pieterse effectively took over “Good Morning America” during their appearance. The five-some crashed the morning show’s control room, did the signature “good morning, America” shout-out, and surprised unsuspecting fans in the studio audience. After all that, the co-stars sat down with Robin Roberts to discuss the series’ last 10 episodes and finally reaching the “endgame.”
“It’s really bizarre,” Lucy said of the show coming to an end. “We wrapped filming in October, but we knew we still had this week of press to promote. So this is sort of our last shebang, like our last time being all together for a while, so it’s very weird.”
Bellisario described the upcoming series finale as “game-changing,” while Pieterse went with “romantic.” Added Mitchell, “And this is kind of the love letter to the fans. It’s a wrap-up.” After Benson said she envisioned an Anna Wintour-like future for her character, there was a funny moment when the colleagues worried Pieterse had dropped a spoiler.
“I’m just glad for all of this secret-keeping to be done,” Bellisario admitted, “because it’s been stressful for us!” That said, all agreed that they’ve managed to keep things light-hearted through the years. “For such a serious show, it’s the complete opposite off set,” noted Hale.
She and the others went on to reveal what they took from the production as keepsakes. As Gossip Cop reported, the “Pretty Little Liars” cast also appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” last week. Check out the full “GMA” video below!
